Building Strong Reading Comprehension
Before a student can truly understand what they read, they must first be able to decode words accurately and read fluently. These are the essential building blocks of strong comprehension.
However, even when students can read the words on a page, they may still struggle to understand what they’ve read. We often see students who can “call the words” but cannot remember the passage, explain it, or express their thoughts in complete sentences. True comprehension means being able to think about, talk about, and make meaning from the text—not just read it aloud.
A Targeted, Effective Approach
It’s never too late to improve reading skills—but early intervention makes the biggest impact.
At The Study Hub, we begin with a comprehensive assessment to pinpoint exactly where each student is struggling. This allows us to create a customized plan that focuses only on the skills they need—so no time is wasted.
Our students work with highly trained instructors who specialize in teaching reading through structured, evidence-based methods. As skills improve, so does confidence—and that’s when reading really begins to click.
Our Tutoring Fees are $60/hr.
